Our Mission

The Studio School's mission is to provide financially accessible, emotionally-sound, structured literacy instruction to dyslexic learners, using the Orton-Gillingham approach; to increase engagement, social emotional learning, executive functioning and long-term retention using an arts-integrated model; to provide work opportunities to local individual artists and arts organizations through teaching residencies and partnerships; to provide free, ongoing community education events to increase dyslexia awareness, dyslexia identification and arm families with tools and techniques to better support dyslexic children in the long-term.
